Danville, Kentucky.
Dear President Groves:
Last February the Board of Trustees of Union College unanimously took action to admit negro students to Union College as day students (not boarding), beginning with this coming September.
The purpose is to accomodate qualified negro students in the vicinity of the college to come to classes and take courses leading to a college degree. As you can notice this action was taken by our Board several months before the release of the Supreme Court decision relating to segregation.
