Dear Doctor Groves:
Georgetown College has no stipulation regarding the barring of students because of race. I cannot see that the “recent decision of the United States Supreme Court Effecting segregation in public colleges and universities" as per your request will effect any immediate change for us. We are making no statement or announcement on the subject.

In the event that any Negro students should apply, each case would have to be dealt with as it presented itself.

To answer your question specifically, I cannot foresee “that there is likely to be a change." Thanking you, I remain

Cordially Yours,
Dr. H. Leo Eddleman

P.S: The copy of your other letter of May 31 regarding the occupying of pulpits in behalf of the Kentucky Independent College Foundation is understandable and I quite thoroughly concur with the idea of making an effort to place the matter before our ministers with a view to their giving it special attention in the pulpit.

Am anticipating further contact with you. HLE.
